How do I turn on sync?
- On your first device, open Settings → Sync.
- Choose a place: Use iCloud Drive for iPhone, iPad and Mac, Use Google Drive for any device, or Choose a folder… for Dropbox, OneDrive or another synced folder.
- On your next device, open Settings → Sync and make the same choice.
- Approve the new device, as explained below. Under Sync, it then reads Up to date.
There is no SheetScroll account. Sync uses your own cloud, and your library stays on your devices. In a browser, folder sync needs Chrome or Edge on a computer, or the SheetScroll app.
How does a new device join?
- Same Apple Account: an iPhone or iPad signed in to the same Apple Account joins at once.
- Otherwise: the new device shows six digits. On your first device, allow it when the same digits appear there.
- Recovery code: with the recovery code in Settings → Sync, a device joins without another one. Keep it somewhere safe. Anyone with the code and your cloud account can read your library.
With a folder, open your sync app so the request goes out. If no device approves in time, try again with the other device open.
What does sync do while I play?
Sync never changes the score you are playing. Changes from other devices wait until you close it. Sync now checks right away, and Sync shows how many files are still coming.
With sync on, SheetScroll Pro bought in any store works on all your synced devices, with nothing to enter.
What if sync stops?
- Sync needs you: choose Sign in again or Allow the folder.
- iCloud Drive is off: turn it on in the Settings app, for SheetScroll.
- Can’t reach the cloud: sync tries again by itself.
- The cloud is full: free some space there.
To turn sync off on one device, use Turn off sync. Your library stays on the device and in your cloud.
Can I move a library without sync?
Yes. In Settings → Storage → Backup, choose Save backup, then Restore… on the other device. Restoring never replaces anything newer.
Questions
Do I need a SheetScroll account?
No. Sync uses your own iCloud Drive, Google Drive or folder.
Can SheetScroll read my synced library?
No. Everything sync sends is end-to-end encrypted, so only your devices can read it.
What happens to my library if I turn sync off?
It stays on this device and in your cloud.
Do I need an internet connection?
Only for sync itself. Importing, reading and following run on your device, in airplane mode too.
